Holistic Traditional Cultural Education

Culture can be folk, elitist or synthetic. Synthetic cultures are led by popular rhetoric and market gimmicks and usually have little root in natural realities. Folk cultures are led by common needs and realities learnt over a period of time through observation and practice.

We present an authentic traditional elite form that embraces folk realities as well as the traditional knowledge. Our aim is to build an open, more understanding, peaceful, better evolved and a pro-active society.

Traditional Healer Ceremonies & Practices

Khappar Ceremony

Practiced mostly among Bhairava and Shakta communities is an essential part of the practice. The Khappar  is made usually of coconut shell, clay. In the past various other natural sources have been used but we restrict ourselves to these two sources.

The ceremonies are usually practiced on no moon nights in open air with limited sincere senior participants who wish to either take up the practices to become healers or by healers themselves to replace their old khappar‘s. The ceremony takes place once in six months and every healer has to conduct or participate in the ceremony once in a year.

Roat Ceremony

Roat is a special preparation that is made and acts as an offering to the deity Kaal Bhairava particularly. The remnants of this offering is then distributed to the patients for alleviation of their problems. Prepared by senior healers with millets sugar and spices is a strong preparation that is prepared with elaborate ceremony that takes place usually after the sunset.
